We’ll be starting our journey in Quebec for some French Canadian tunes and then we’ll head to British Columbia and explore what’s happening musically in the West Coast. Right in the middle (somewhere in the Prairies), we’ll have the tried and true Neil Young Song of the Week.

Speaking of the West Coast, we’ll be giving away one pair of tickets to The Pack A.D. show at the Mohawk on February 11. Keep your radio dials to 91.7 and have your phones ready to give us a call at (512) 472-KOOP (5667).

Join us every Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 PM—on KOOP 91.7 FM in Austin and worldwide at KOOP.org—for the best in independent Canadian music and for your chance to win a spot at one of the several Canadian acts coming through town.

On next week’s show (Jan. 24), we’ll have tickets for Torontonian punk rockers (and 2009 Polaris Prize winners) Fucked Up, playing an outdoor show at Mohawk, along with tickets to see legendary Vancouver hardcore punk rock band D.O.A. at Infest.
