Tune in to This Great White North tomorrow afternoon as Doug the Canuck hosts fellow Winnipegger and multiple award-winning artist Romi Mayes live in-studio. Mayes will also be performing tomorrow night at The Continental Club.

We’ll also have new music by Neil Young, Shred Kelly, the Cannon Bros., and more!

We’ll be live at 4:30 PM Central on KOOP Radio, broadcasting on 91.7 FM in Austin and streaming worldwide at KOOP.org.

First round of Canadians for SXSW

SXSW 2016It may be five months away, but the first round of showcasing artists for South By Southwest 2016 has already been announced. As usual, Canadians are well-represented—even among this early group of musicians. The festival, which begins on March 15 and runs through March 20, already has eight Canadian acts on the bill:

  • Crystal Castles (Toronto)
  • Élage Diouf (Montreal)
  • Jahkoy (Toronto)
  • Mise en Scene (Winnipeg)
  • PUP (Toronto)
  • Reuben and The Dark (Toronto)
  • Wet Secrets, The (Edmonton)
